Use roll length to control change frequency without creating a roll that is too heavy, too large for the dispenser or too slow to consume. A short roll suits trials and light-use points; a longer roll must earn its extra diameter and inventory.
Measure demand first
Days per roll = verified usable length ÷ metres used per day.
Measure accepted covers and average cut length for one representative week. Add actual failed pulls instead of a guessed waste percentage.
| Length | Likely role | Main check |
|---|---|---|
| 100 m | Trial or low-volume station | Changes and packaging per metre |
| 300 m | Regular food-service use | Days per roll and loaded handling |
| 500 m | Stable high-use station | OD, weight, core and later-roll unwind |
Test the loaded configuration
Ask for finished roll OD and gross/net weight. Load the roll into the intended box or dispenser and check rubbing, rotation, cutting and core shape at the start and later in use. The length and net-weight method explains how to verify delivered quantity.
Keep each length tied to one job
A distributor may approve 100 m for customer trials and 500 m for heavy-use refills. Record that role so similar SKUs do not fragment inventory. YIYUAN's current product range lists 100, 200, 300 and 500 m options subject to exact configuration confirmation.
