Choose 300 mm or 450 mm from the outside span of the pans being covered. A 300 mm roll saves side waste on narrow pans; a 450 mm roll can avoid a second sheet on wide pans. Roll price alone cannot answer the question.
Calculate the minimum useful width
Minimum web width = outside pan span + grip allowance on both sides.
Measure the outside rim in the direction the film crosses it. Use the edge allowance that passed your tray trial. Handles, raised corners, wet rims and operator pull direction must be recorded separately because the equation only screens width.

Choose by completed cover
Run both widths on the same high-volume pan set, dispenser and shift. Count film area, second sheets, failed cuts and application time. A wider roll wins only when reduced seams or labor outweigh extra film area.
Write the order correctly
State material, width and tolerance, length, thickness, core, loaded-roll limit, cutter/refill format and carton quantity. YIYUAN lists 300, 350, 400 and 450 mm options on its commercial roll page. Use the separate SKU planning guide only when deciding how many widths to stock.
